113. Not complicated...this theology

Complicated schcomplicated

If we ever wonder why all this is so complicated, we are possibly missing something yet:
That it isn’t complicated.
As far as I can see, all scripture will work on all possible levels of intellect, from native races to schoolchildren to the intellectually privileged.

It should work for the basic, simple uneducated mind as also for the highly trained theologist or physicist.

If it doesn’t, perhaps we need to seek a new understanding.
And I refer to concepts like redemption, salvation, creation, spiritualism, anything really.

Some friends who haven’t read me have been concerned only to know if this blog I do isn’t over complicating things. But I am remiss if anyone feels that after reading it.
I wouldn’t know if anyone has read all the site..??
But it is meant to work at all levels too.

I don’t have such a wonderful privileged education.
I don’t have a beautiful history.
I am trying to put on the web the simple solutions and interpretations which are helpful and inspirational to me, and I know some of them are fresh.
I just cant help talking about it, and when I find a simple understanding I get very excited.

I don’t get it from a book or publication from ‘mature Christians’.
So I welcome input, discussion and debate.
I want to especially thank the other contributors who have made a difference,
Lady R…who I named but who feels too humble for the moniker,
Elijah who posts from difficult circumstances in another country
Geoff ,who plays down his expertise as an eminent scientist,
Patty who is on record as a headmistress,
Anon, anon, anon, anon, anon and anon who all have one thing in common: they are all anonymous.
And the dog, Ross’s dog. Lol.

We are possibly not going to change the world any day soon, but if we can help particularly anyone who finds science defeating their religion, it will be mission accomplished.
Except I don’t plan on stopping there…

Good thought, and agree totally. Even for our dogs, it seems! BTW, what have you learnt from your dog, Ross? They are great teachers - ours behaves towards us as if we are her "god" - she comes up to us and drops at our feet, rolls over subserviently, loves us to death - and looks imploringly to us when she's hungry. In the wild, she might have an average life. With us, she's got a great life - but she's totally dependent on us for her health, well-being and food and companionship. A great teacher.

I didn't realise we were in such exalted company - Elijah, ehh? And Lady R? I'm interested if Marto's friend Lady C might get a guernsey, or even one of his other dear friends (he knows who she is!!).

Did you know that you can turn a singular blog into a group, so that all members can publish posts on it (not just comments)?? Enjoying the refreshing inspiration, thanks...

Geoff, there is a joke around, it goes like this:
A dog looks at his master, tastes his food, looks around at his lavish surroundings, looks up at his master again with love in his eye and goes...my master must be God.

A cat sits on the best chair in the house , laps up the warmth, looks disdainfully at her food, and says , I am God.

Well no one has shown that inclination yet, the first step is you / they can join as members I guess.

The very first step is people need to learn to trust me first, thru time.
Or as the dog rightly puts it, that is possibly my need not theirs

I only wish I had a dog ... your dogs sound such wise and capable creatures. I need a dog who can type so that I can dictate from the kitchen sink or the ironing board because I get too absorbed in all this sometimes and neglect The Family. If I have to contribute to a blog beyond adding comments to other's prompts I will fail miserably one way or the other.I will neglect my Home Duties or I will feel guilty about no doing my bloggy bit for the blog.
By the way "geoff" ..."lady r" is Not exalted company! Her name has been recently changed to "missus r" because she felt uncomfortable with such a pretentious alias. missus r is more suited to her station in life - an unpolished, uneucated woman from a village like Nazareth, howbeit somewhat passionate and curious about anything to do with God. And a firm believer that the Wonders of Science prove the Wonder of God ... The more we understand of one the more it shows us of the Other. missus r

Ross,
Enjoy your comments and those of Geoff and those of missus R.
Science, our Body's,creation, are in them selves a wonderful confirmation of the power of God.It is Huge and largely beyond understanding. The Creation of our God.
Spirituality and OUR connection to OUR God is very simple as I see it.God is Love.Love is as I understand it Gentle, kind, forgiving,Love holds out a hand to show the way,to lead and guide, but, very simply if we dont seek we will not find if we dont ask we will not receive. So to have a relationship with God in my mind we must seek him,Talk with him,get close to him and then we can know his spirit with us and in us,and that gives us power to overcome fear and doubts. All these things are simple. Some would know that my personal experience has been that with a "little" faith I have simply asked of God For help and undoubdtedly due to his Love he answered me and I am still alive today.Ask in Faith, totally broken, and if it be Gods will, not your's,If it's his plan for you ,you will receive.Very Simple !!Let Brotherly Love continue.
