12. Science vs. scripture
Science vs scripture
We ought to be changing science to fit the scripture rather than changing scripture to fit science.
If you consider our timeline A-Z. like the ridge of a comb, then the teeth of the comb are other intersecting timelines . This, based on the idea that our time being 2-dimensional fits easily into a larger concept of unlimited/ eternal time, like strands floating in the wind. When the time line of each creation event intersected our time, Genesis 1 explains that these long events occurred sequentially one day at a time. This could diagrammatically look like a comb or brush.
This is what I mean about changing science to fit scripture.
When I can understand that a theory could be floated to explain a possibility which unites scripture and science, I am encouraged that while the theory might or might not prove true , it gives me hope and faith that there is a truth out there which is the true "theory of everything"
